The law firm of Basnight Kinser Telfeyan Leftwich & Nuckolls, P.C., originated in 1979 as the result of the merging of two small Great Bridge firms. For many years, the firm of "Basnight & Creekmore" was a respected and trusted law firm in Chesapeake. Since then the Firm has continued to provide the citizens of Chesapeake, and all of Virginia, the assurance of honest, dependable and dedicated legal representation. That assurance continues.
In addition to the traditional areas of legal service and practice in which the Firm's attorneys engage, several of the attorneys have served on Virginia State Bar committees and ethical oversight committees. One of the Firm's partners recently served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Virginia. Another partner is presently a member of the Chesapeake School Board. Many of the Firm's attorneys are members of the Chesapeake Bar Association and have served as officers in that Association. Several attorneys hold membership in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. All of the attorneys in the Firm stay abreast of legal advancements through continuing legal education courses.
In addition to litigating cases in court, many of the Firm's attorney's have experience in resolving issues through methods of alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration.
